What we call the Framework is what we use to stay connected, share, discuss, collaborate on common community-driven projects, and to reach out to the planetary science community and the general public.
Our approach is to connect and administrate existing free or low-cost cloud-based solutions, services and open-source tools:
Slack is a real-time collaborative discussion platform, embedding features of a group chat and additional sharing capabilities, including snippets, files.
We use OP Slack for real-time exchange and discussion of scientific or technical nature.

Several Channels exist in order to facilitate discussions and access to information. Below few are described, more can be freely added if needed by any registered member:

Medium is an online publishing platform that has become popular by its ease-of-use and a hybrid collection of amateur and professional people and publications
We use our OP Blog on Medium to reach out to the planetary science community and the general public.

Topics we address are not limited but include planetary data, tools, workflow, science, community events; for example: availability of planetary data, including information on how the data are found, downloaded, processed, and used for cartography and scientific analysis; trends in data storage and rapid access; analysis and visualization tools using current and new algorithms and methods.
